ESL
Over the last three years I have worked with various groups of ESL students and have enjoyed every minute. The first opportunity to work with ESL students was at NCS with a group of international students of various backgrounds. I was offered to be a chaperone with one other teacher on a three day trip to Tofino when at the last minute, the principle was unable to attend. Following that trip, I was offered to teach a group of about 60 students coming from Japan. Then following that experiencet, I was taught three Japanese students and 4 Chinese students. In November 2016, I returned to NCS once again as an ESL teacher for Hatsushiba students. It was my third year teaching students from this school and I made many more happy memories. My last ESL teaching experience was in the July 2017 working with Japanese students and I can't wait to work for GPI International on an other occasion. International students always have so much to share and I love sharing my own experiences living in Canada. One of the unique aspects of the last group that I taught was that they were from an all boys school and only had male teachers. I also had the opportunity to have Canadian buddies of the same age in the class that facilitated language learning activities.
